“Keys to Serenity”

“Keys to Serenity”

Cheryl: “Music is the universal language, love is the universal healer, and water is the universal solvent.”

Emotions are like the current of a river, the water flows continuously but at times can be tremulous. Your emotions are your reactions to internal and external environments and it’s by uncovering them and allowing yourself to feel that you learn about yourself.

How do different elements effect your emotions? The obvious comparison when it comes to music is how you feel when you listen to a soothing melodic sonata verses grooving to an upbeat hip hop song.

Lets reflect on the definition of Serenity according to one dictionary paying special attention to the pronunciation they give. Se‘renede.

se·ren·i·ty

səˈrenədē/

Noun; The state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled.

Quote from the book “7 keys to Serenity” by Serge Mazerand“Our language is infused with musical terms, we resonate with people and things, ideas and words, strike a chord, we waltz into a room, we act in concert, we set the tone, we feel upbeat or downbeat and indeed reluctantly at times, we must face the music.” www.keystoserenity.com

Finding your serenity means that you can be present in your life, live “in the now”, be mindful of each special moment that is yours to experience. It means that your mind is clear and well connected to your heart and soul. Happiness is inner peace and priceless!

There is an interesting parallel that exists between inner peace, harmony and music. Harmony is balance and having balance allows us to live life to its full potential and hear the music. Life is like an on going musical composition and WE are the composers and conductors of our life symphony. The words used to write music such as: harmony and balance, they align themselves 100% with relationships.

Cheryl: “I truly believe that we are all masters to our love lives, we can create whatever love life we want for ourselves, it should be our own masterpiece; it shouldn’t be anyone else that dictates notes that go into our music.”

Serge: “Life is about music, it’s about an instrument, we are the instruments ourselves…everything is about music…it’s all about this very subtle music particularly that plays within us, around us and that will help us create ultimately harmony and happiness in life.”

Ramona: “Different types of music bring different emotions out of us…as a former pianist; music is life for me…”

What are the keys to emotional serenity? How do we create music in our love lives? How do we stay connected to our essential self?

Cheryl: “The A, B, C, D, E, F, and G” are the keys on a musical board and the 7 keys towards serenity…serenity being freedom and happiness…”

Serge: “These are the 7 key notes that make the essence of music…and when transposed into key words, allow us to create that same kind of harmony that there is in music and create that in our lives.”

Love actually does have its own frequency and most music that exist for meditation and healing vibrates on this frequency.

Cheryl: “One of the things that I recently learned is the frequency of love, the 528 Hz…”

“528 Hz – The Love Frequency. According to Dr. Leonard Horowitz, 528 Hertz is a frequency that is central to the “musical mathematical matrix of creation.” More than any sound previously discovered, the “LOVE frequency” resonates at the heart of everything.”

Serge: “We as human beings as everything else …are made of music… of vibrations and frequencies and if we are not on the same frequency as somebody else…not just in personal relationships…in any kind of relationship…have to be on that same frequency for it to work…”

Cheryl: “ With relationships, you have to keep turning that dial because sometimes, you go in and out of different zones…your relationships that are out there, just that little dial turn, when you hear that buzz, can put you right back on to the mark and set that relationship back in the right direction.”

The seven key notes transformed into words being: awareness, belief, creativity, discipline, energy, flow and guidance, applied to our relationships create our own harmony and symphony.

Cheryl: “One of the major keys is awareness; the art of listening to our inner music.”

Serge: “The most important key, the common denominator of all the other keys is AWARNESS, it’s simply paying attention on a daily basis because things can slide out of tune very easily…it is mindfulness…a thing of the heart and of the soul.”

By being aware of who we are, we can live in authenticity and thus able to be true to ourselves as well as to others in our lives. If you are unaware of your emotions, of the person that you are, there will be a lack of communication in your relationships.

Cheryl: “Sometimes, the communication isn’t clear because people are so busy being in their own head; they’re not listening to the person on the other side…”

In relationships, it is so essential to listen in order to experience long lasting, serene emotional states that nurture your heart, mind and being. Listening is being aware of others and most importantly staying connected.

Ramona: “Listening is really important in relationships…it’s a big part of the communication, to be able to listen to the other person.”

Serge: “We have to also learn to listen to our own music…most of the time we ignore it, we repress it…that of course is a big cause for failure in relationships.”

To be in a relationship, you have to be open, accepting of other views, other emotions, that’s where awareness always comes in. Another key to serenity is creativity, which can take us forward to create our freedom in relationships.

Serge: “Creativity becomes exciting when we look at ourselves as creators…we become familiar and comfortable with change and transformation…in relationships we cannot stay always the same, we have to take into count change that happens in ourselves and the other person…creativity is about renewal, freshness and change, not falling into habits…which is the number one killer of relationships.”

Cheryl: “When it comes to the dating world, one of my keys is having the communication, which is creating the love life that you want for yourself and for your couple.”

Ramona: “For me the keys in music are like the foundation of a relationship…where you build everything on…it’s to have a balance between your heart, your mind and your soul and just like in music, those keys, that’s where you build music on…”

Cheryl, Ramona.

Communication is the foundation of any solid relationship and to have a successful one, you have to be able to communicate your thoughts and emotions. Be in balance and harmony with yourself before entering a relationship. To create authentic happiness, we have to embrace the art of conscious living and let our energy flow. It is important to stay in tune with our inner music.

Ramona: “Playing piano for so many years…music would take me to another place…that was my way of releasing all my emotions…”

Serge: “Music is a catalyst.”

Cheryl: “When you’re in that calm moment, when you can see clarity in who you are, where you want to be, where you want to go…that’s the time to start making decisions for yourself…”

Listen to your heart and follow its beat and you will sing and dance through life. This piece might also inspire you to find your serenity.
