Solo Sunday

Solo Sunday

Another week has gone by, I hope it was better than the cold weather we have been experiencing!!

There are so many ways to spend the day and this week I am suggesting two.

The first is to become a volunteer. Unfortunately, you cannot simply decide and show up, however, you could use some of your day researching the endless options available. There are so many worthy causes and most of these need volunteers. Whether it’s assisting at a food bank, helping with the homeless, cheering up sick children- there are many, and your time would be so appreciated.

Another idea is to search online for any special events  going on that you can participate in alone- There are cooking classes, lectures, concerts just to name a few. In fact, this week at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, there is a concert called Dame Nature at 2:00pm. A multidisciplinary Baroque performance that weaves poetry, dance and music together around the theme of nature. The musical works and the dance pieces have evocative titles like The ButterfliesThe Stars, The ReedsThe Frog, The Cricket and The Ant. They are descriptive, colourful and accessible to all. It only costs $12.61, so why not fill up your soul with some great entertainment and be ready to take on the week ahead!

Whatever you choose to do, be kind to yourself and embrace your solo Sunday!
